L. Gruger Art Video - Paint the Sky

I've been having fun making art videos so I decided to make one to music! My new art video on youtube uses the song "Paint the Sky" by Darryl Purpose. I LOVE this song and I think it goes really well with the images from my art and scenes from living in Baja for the last couple months.

I've been a Darryl Purpose fan for a very loooong time! I made a painting to this song a few years ago that I titled "Blue is for River". You can see that painting as a print at my Imagekind store. The original is also for sale and I'll put that online at my web site soon! Enjoy the video!

If you're a fine artist and need some help making an art video like this one using your own art and music, send an email to lindy@lgruger.com and I can help you out.

New Moonheadmama Painting Video on Youtube

The making of the first Moonheadmama painting is now on my youtube channel. It is a short video that shows most of how I made this art. And painting No. 1 is also listed on ebay! 20% of the proceeds will go to a non-profit called Acres of Hope which helps homeless women and their children.

UPDATE: This painting was SOLD on ebay.

Painting technique video and whimsical paintings

I made my first artist videos yesterday. I'm going to be posting a few videos regarding my painting technique. They are short and a little rough around the edges but they were fun to make! The first one will be about how I start a painting. The others are about how I get the texture and line work in my paintings. I'll post a link to my youtube videos after I get them finalized - so stay tuned. Also I'd like to know what kinds of videos you would be interested in seeing in the future? Please leave your comments and let me know.
The paintings I'm working on in the videos are my "lyrical world" paintings. Below is the very first stages of one of them. I just love the whimsical, jewel colored shapes. These paintings are my favorites to make! I'll be posting some more images of them after they get a little further along.
